Cotton's

laurene: I think most people know Cotton's is a great spot for a reliable cocktail: good prices, standard drinks, nice environment. And - at their Xinhua Lu location - a killer patio. However, on a recent winter trip I was especially impressed by their interior atmosphere, featuring what must be one of Shanghai's only real wood burning fires. Add to that a winter hot mulled wine drink special, and I'm a happy camper! Also, my husband knocked over his drink and broke his glass, and the wait staff was so nice about it - coming to help clean up and giving him a free drink to replace it. Truly out of the ordinary in Shanghai! The voucher deal is great as well, definitely a must-use.

jendives: One of my favorite venue, however it is a little far for me that lives at Zhabei district. I go there for 5 reasons: - happy hours: buy 1 get 1, on house wine, and free other items - atmosphere: winter or warm seasons, all is possible, terrace gives you your sunny soaking time and the house gives you your warm and comfy needs. - Brunch: they used to have a BBQ brunch this summer, however the new bruch is good enough - they do have a selection of board games that make you stay for some game fun All in all it is a very good venue ^^ Recommend it to any one that never saw the place ^^

borgy: I love the Xinhua branch of Cottons! Its tucked away in between the trees with one of the best garden terraces in town. Great shot menu and decent cocktails.
