The Fat Olive

biliana: I can only speak about the Fat Olive on Xizang lu and I quite like it. First time we used the voucher before the adjustment, we were a large group ordering bottles of champagne etc and got a crazy discount of over 1500 RMB, we thought it was incredible to have this kind of unlimited 50% discount. So when we went back on another occasion with a friend who had the voucher too, it was to be expected it wouldn't happen again. The terrace is nice and spacious, inside however can get really cramped and unfortunately on each of our visits for some reason the terrace couldn't be used. Food is not bad, but the portions are ridiculously small for the price, not much of a choice either. All in all, much better value with the voucher, but still a nice place to go without a discount too.

bbmiLo: Nice place. Environment is great, we sat outdoor on the terrace at end of summer. The food is very good, tapa portion and we got to try quite a few items, pizza, sausage and risotto are especially recommended. 4 people with a bottle of wine, after discount it was little over 500, great value. Highly recommended.

cherchanglin: The service and atmosphere were very nice. In terms of the food, we pretty much ordered the whole menu except for dessert. My favorites were the pan seared whole sea bass, which was very tender, fried cheese and chicken salad. My least favorite was definitely the mussels, which tasted way too strongly of that seafood-y taste. With a party of 12, we saved a good 500 rmb, which was nice. I would recommend this as a nicer venue for greek food, but I don't think the food in general is better than Greek Taverna.

zepherness: This is one of our favorite restaurants in Shanghai. Never any problems using the voucher. (We love that it includes off drinks as well!!!) And have also used the 10% off discount as well. The food is always fresh and the portions are big. Will keep returning to The Fat Olive. This is finally one restaurant in Shanghai with Customer Service!
