yezier: good place to eat. Chinese decor but French food. I like the bread most, and free white wine. Not the fan of their dessert, too sour.
chingwa: The place is perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch and the voucher offer makes it reasonable but without the voucher it's very expensive (would have been around 700 for two). Service was mixed, some great staff, one guy a bit clueless, but overall good. Food was great, small portions but when you have 3-4 courses, that's not a bad thing. Quite liked their egg with chorizo and fries. So, great with a voucher, would never go and pay full price for their brunch.
tnnnd39: Everything is great! Everyone is so friendly, five stars is deserved.
bbmiLo: I went to this restaurant in early 2003, and that time, it was one of the few western (wannbe if I may add) restaurant in Shanghai, it was pretty much Chinese style western food, barely edible IMHO. Needlessly to say, never thought of going back to T8 since. Occasionally when I heard of T8, I was even wondering how it's still in business. Now since we bought the Enjoy membership, T8 caught my eye again while surfing through the book. Upon little research, it seems to have improved drastically, it's even one of the world's 50 top restaurants rated by Conde Naste. No way, really? I must pay a visit myself again. We went there for brunch on Sunday. The place is nice, service is decent. The food, it's 258 per head for 2 courses, plus a glass of bubble, coffee or tea. We had pancake and risotto for starter, sea bass and burger for main. The pancake is little thicker than usual, texture is not as dense as I am used to. The risotto does not have much flavor, the cheese taste is little more overwhelming. The sea bass, was excellent, that was probably how good as a fish can be cooked. The burger, very good, I specified medium rare and it was right on, the bun was home-made, the fries was good. Overall, I would consider it decent food for western food in Shanghai. But Conde Naste's top 50 pick in the world? I just don't see it at all.
alysons00: The brunch is great. Service was fantastic - super friendly and efficient. We'll go back for sure!
anchun: Great deal with the enjoy voucher for the Sunday Brunch. highly recommended.
thelightfantastic: Some of the worst service I have ever had in Shanghai. Truly abysmal. The food is okay, though not worth the truly appalling staff - who are friendly enough but should probably take up a new profession. Management seriously need to consider some in-house training.
IngaEg: Weekend Champagne Brunch (11:00 - 16:00) Voucher offer buy one get one free allows to get a reasonable deal in this very expensive and fancy place. 236 RMB was total amount spent for 2 ppl and the offer included 2 dishes from the brunch menu per person glass of champagne for each tea or coffee. Taste was excellent! Nice for a romantic/relaxed weekend lunch.
eliseetmoi: Nice place in Xintiandi, the brunch on Sundays is so good! But a bit expensive...
