run_away: I didn`t feel very confident when I first stepped in... but my my my. Lounge style, low key, velvet sofas, dim lighting, candles, a dozen tables or less (downstairs). We used the voucher (buy one dish get one) and ordered the baby back ribs and stew. The meat stew was good, but after tasting the ribs - I wished I had ordered 2 ribs. Honestly, much better than a number of other places in the city - and the cost can`t be compared. 95 RMB. Even without the voucher, I will be back there. (Added bonus that their Bloody Mary was delicious also). Ah.. and the kitchen is open till 10:30 - make sure to get your order in before that.

cowboystone: Dinner at Citizen on April 8, '12 What’s hot i. The open roof patio set the right tone for a nice dinner in a spring evening. The lamb rack was delicious with the sauce. Pan-fried salmon ordered by my friend had the right balance of crunchy surface and tender inside. Friend says basil drop martini is a must order whenever you go to Citizen. What’s not i. Only if they would be more generous with their lamb – for 148 RMB you got two racks. The bottom line i. If there is a spot up for grab on the patio, I’d make it a regular place to visit.

yueyue09: Love this place for weekend brunch. Cozy and nice place and very good to spend a sunny afternoon on the Terrence. Reasonable price even without the voucher. Will definitely go back again.

zepherness: We used to be a fan of Citizen when we first most to Shanghai, but it seems that lately the quality of the food & drink has gone down. Especially with so many new restaurants opening and competition being high, they may need to step it up by improving the food quality or offering more promotions. The Enjoy voucher is a good deal, and the atmosphere is cozy, but other than that... would chose another place if you were looking for "western" food.

Kristine1983: Buffalo chicken wing taste like Sweet Sour Pork in china town. Service is good, but seats feel less private & comfort.

bbmiLo: Nice cozy cafe, has the vibe of a cafe in East village of Manhattan. Food is decent but overpriced for bar food. Enjoy voucher gets you buy one get one free entree, which is a good deal. Afternoon tea is nice, the dessert and coffee was very good.

liana_teddy: First time to check out the place, very cozy. Upstairs is a dining area and downstairs is more a lounge and drinks area, so can be a bit smoky. I love its Mint Martini, very good, recommend to try it. Food was good and good deal with the voucher. Will go back for drinks for sure.

zepherness: Citizen is a great restaurant. We have never been disappointed. The happy hour runs to midnight and the value for your money is good. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

bobozero: Citizen is one of my favorite cafes in town! Love to go brunch there. My favorite dishes are Seafood Quesedia, Spaghetti Carbonara(the best I have ever had thus far) and of course their cocktails. Basil Martini and Lemon Drop are one of my favorites.I love their Buy 1-get-1 Free Drink Deal, I ordered a bottle of wine and got the second BOTTLE fore free with the voucher. He he
